Summary: Roaches are perhaps the most tenacious breed of insect on Earth. They've been around for millions of years, and not once have the changed. But at least the ones we know don't eat people...

History: Somewhere in the American desert, the Earth split open after an earthquake. Life went on, but out of the crack came roaches that could ignite flames by rubbing their back feet together. At first, they proved to be evolutionary dead ends with their limited life spans and failure to breed, but a man by the name of Professor James Parmiter decided to breed them with regular roaches, creating a flying variant.

Notable Kills: Burn a poor cat to the bone, and eat it.

Final Fate: The roaches grow tired of Parmiter's manipulation of them, and they light him on fire, causing him to stumble into the hellish hole the insects came from. The roaches then head back into the hole as it seals itself away.

Powers/Abilities: Can create fire by rubbing their back legs together, signs of intelligence.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-If you thought regular roaches were complete pests, you should see these arsonist arthropods. What's even more ominous is that they only left when the clearly unhinged Parmiter was sent into the hole. It's almost as if these things are actually creatures of Hell.

Trivia: -This was the final film of William Castle.

-These roaches are actually Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, the largest roaches around.
